Join the American Cancer Society in the fight to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays by participating in the ninth-annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5k walk on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at Holmes Lake Park in Lincoln. Registration starts at noon. Making Strides will begin at 1 pm.
This inspiring event unites the entire Lincoln community to honor and celebrate breast cancer survivors, and supports the Society’s mission to save lives by helping people stay well, helping people get well, by finding cures and by fighting back against the disease.
When your foot hits the pavement at Making Strides, you will be helping someone with breast cancer find a ride to treatment or a free place to stay; helping women get access to
mammograms; connecting women who are newly diagnosed with survivors who have “been there.” You will be making sure people facing breast cancer will have more
birthdays to look forward to. Funds raised from Making Strides will be invested in
breast cancer and related initiatives in the Lincoln Community.
Celebrate our ninth-annual event! You can form a team of family members, friends,
co-workers, or walk as an individual.
